Is it almost Deer Season ALREADY??????

Jeeeeezzz I hope I don’t get “Skunked” this year….

So far no luck…. Seen quite a few, but nothing close enough for a shot… Something has changed their patterns, and with the season closing on the 4th of Jan. there’s not a whole lot of time left… Desperate times call for desperate measures…

I went for a little hike to see if I could figure out where they all went, and I found these two shed antlers… One tiny little eight point, and one really massive 4 point, both within this little Cedar lined “Draw”… So at least now I know where they're at! The question is how to get to them! I set up a ground blind and put out some "Doe in heat" Scent... That should work... There's nothing more distracting to the male of ANY species than the possibility of sex.... C'mon, Y'all know I'm right!... The possibility of "Getting a little" has brought down more Males than WW-II, Korea and Vietnam put together!

I also found the way in and out of the Draw, replete with fresh deer sign (Feces, and tracks) and set up another Treestand there, in an unusual little hardwood thicket right in the middle of a Conifer forest! I'll take a pic or two tomorrow...

Tomorrow morning may be the day…. The dark of a new moon, Front moving in, cold weather, and I manufactured a new Item for my “Utility Belt” last night… Yup… “Batman” of the “Backwoods”, that’s me!

Five frigid hours of not much of anything again this morning... Just about froze the Nadules off... I'm beginning to think even the Squirrels have more common sense than I do! You don't see them walking around with Frozen Nuts!!!!

I totaled up the hours I've hunted since November first, and did a little math... The Law of Averages states that I should have seen friggin' Sasquatch by now for fucks sake!!!!

4 more days, and then get ready for Turkey Season....

Do you have alot of turkeys in your area? I've only seen one wild one in my life. The rest were on the farm
